The Lessons Learned From the Japanese
66Japan which is one of the powerhouse economies in the world was inflicted with natural calamities that resulted to widescale destruction of homes and various infrastructures and caused the deaths of thousands of people. A scary magnitude 9.0 earthquake that triggered a very massive and strong tsunami which is as tall as 124 feet pummeled the country black and blue. And to add further woes to the Japanese is the meltdown of its nuclear reactors that provided serious threats to lives and caused fear for radiation. The nation was indeed in great distress as other countries express their deepest sympathy with the tragedies that struck the country.
But the Japanese will never buck down from this enormous challenge. And just like before they are determined to bounce back stronger. The Japanese already overcame such tragedies before including the very destructive atomic bombs unleashed by the United States Enola Gay planes off Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
The Japanese was been able to lick their wounds and from then on, they progressed into one of the most powerful and wealthy nations in the planet. The road to recovery was tough and arduous, but still they managed to pull through from the destruction and now the Japanese continues to make their presence felt in various field of endeavors.
The Japanese are renowned for their highly sophisticated and very advanced technology. They are one of the leading producers of top notch appliances, equipments, devices and vehicles. Their popularity and competence even extends to their foods. Who hasn’t heard of the words sushi, wasabi and teriyaki? These are delectable foods that are indeed a treat as they can leave you a good taste after having a smorgasbord of Japanese culinary flair.
The Japanese are also well-known for their creativity particularly in making animated shows. The animated series the Astroboy was been their inspiration to aspire for greatness particularly in science and technology. Sony, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Isuzu, Yamaha, Honda and the list goes on are the testament of the great innovativeness of the enterprising Japanese people.
The Japanese are also famous for their 5 s, which are actually Japanese words consisting of seiton (sorting), seiso (straightening or stabilize), seiketsu (sweeping) and shitsuke (self-discipline). This remarkable philosophy helps companies worldwide to become organized, efficient and productive.
The wealth of the nation can be gauged by the garbage which its people dispose. And do you know that a stuff which was just a craze or a hit last year in Japan is expected to be on the trash bin one year later. This is how rich Japan is. And according to the statistics 5 jobs awaits a newly graduate. This is an astounding ratio and truly impressive.
Indeed, the Japanese economy is dynamic, thriving and a potent force to reckon with. The Japanese are reaping these immense rewards for they have attitudes that are at par best with the best in the planet. And amid the great tragedies that the country experienced the Japanese still showed too much class, decency and great fighting spirits. Yes the Japanese just whipped up another world class crap, no not with their comfort zones filled with the latest technological advances, but with lessons that people all over the world might draw inspiration from.
The Japanese coverage of the tragedies was well-brought-up
as you will never see stains of any indecency. Delivered with pinpoint
accuracy the Japanese covered the destruction with details and shun away from
showing any tragic and gory deaths of people. They didn’t sensationalize the
tragedies, and there is no need to do this though for the lives that were taken
away should be given due respect. The Japanese just dished out standard broadcasting that is decent and very respectable for others to emulate.
The calmness and patience of the Japanese was also remarkable. In this time of great adversity people might be tempted to go on a looting spree but the Japanese with their stomach starving didn’t stoop low. The grocery stores ration their goods as the Japanese lined up so that many will be benefited. Panic buying and hoarding are not part of the Japanese vocabulary. Limitations were also mete out in selling gasoline so that more will be use for rescue efforts.
Announcements and warnings are provided to the people in unison to prevent confusion through their radios and other communication devices. Organizing is one of the signatures of the Japanese and they thoroughly pounce on this trait to the maximum.
The mighty Japanese truly learned a lot from its past and it shows with their impressive attitudes during the horrible tragedies. No wonder they will wax hat in any field of expertise they wish to plunge in, for they are well-disciplined, coordinated and know how to use their resources with efficiency and efficacy. The lessons showed us once again of their greatness as a nation and may they recover fast and well with the destruction wrought upon them.
Godspeed!
